The Essentia series contains natural rum bottled at cask strength. These bottlings are the essence of the flavor found within the rum category, and in the individual countries of origin. A bottle of Essentia rum contributes an incredible amount of flavor and complexity, as these have not added water, sugar or color. At the same time, they are also good examples of how rum bottled at cask strength can give an incredible explosion of flavor and different nuances.
The first release in the Essentia series is called Essentia 1, and includes three different bottlings from Barbados, Venezuela and El Salvador. All three rums are distilled via continuous distillation and fermented on a base of sugar cane molasses.
